Just needed to write something....

The Cottage is just beautiful this time of year. It's beautiful year round but I tend to prefer the green to the white.
But I wake up early in the morning and everything is just GLOWING green, and the sunlight sparkles on the lake, which is like a mirror. My only wish is that I were up there alone, because as much as I love my grandparents, they're driving me completely batshit insane. My grandmother sometimes stops talking for a few seconds when she's eating or asleep, and is a complete control freak. She even tries to control your thoughts by twisting words to affect you a certain way. THAT, and while she's very good at forgiving her own flaws, you had better not get offended when she constantly snips at yours.
GRR.
And my grandfather is a little sexist, a little racist, and believes in aliens. Not too bizarre for an old guy, right? No, it's the vehemence with which he argues his point that makes you go 'WHOA there! I'm questioning the logic of ever sharing my opinion with you again!'
Dammit, I was expecting all of this, but frankly, I don't want them rubbing off on me.
